We have a lady here in the ministry that we have worked with a lot over many years now.  She doesnt have a car  but we realized a couple years ago that she lived close to a very large church that has a reputation for helping and serving people so we encouraged her to attend there.  After 2 years of both her and us making phone calls to this church, we were both getting the run around on the phone. Lots of promises of call backs and lots of transfers to this person or that person but at the end of the day, no one could ever get her a ride.

If I said the name of this church, you would recognize it instantly but the point of this blog isn’t to belittle that church. It’s to address the larger point which i will cover in a moment.

Someone posted a video of the worship from this church online and it was wonderful. While enjoying it, i couldn’t help but notice that there were thousands of people in attendance.  THOUSANDS! In my mind, I just couldn’t get past the fact that out of all of those thousands of people who were all worshiping the Lord, certainly one of them could go the two miles out of their way to give our friend a ride.

I happen to have the Pastor of this church on my friends list, so I messaged him asking for help in this matter explaining to him that after so long it felt like this was a dog and pony show as far as the process of getting this lady a ride.  Well, he did indeed write back and what he said left me stunned a little.  He completely dismissed the lady in question, completely dismissed the obvious issues internally with how they handle people who call in, completely dismissed that it has gone on for two years and instead took great offence that I used the term “dog and pony show”.

He wrote back and said “why would you want your friend to attend a dog and pony show?”  This is a guy who teaches Kingdom Confrontation and teaches it well I might add.  A man of great revelation for the body but yet in the area of day by day matters of the local church, missed the point entirely.

I wrote him back and kindly explained that based on his most recent response, I agree that our friend wouldn’t be as safe there as we assumed she would be, thanked him for his time and promptly deleted him from my friends list.

The overall point here is that you must discern the body.  I believe this was a test from God for this man.  After ministering to untold thousands and receiving elevation to the worlds stage, how would you handle some random stranger that simply needed a ride to the church?

No matter how much elevation God blesses you with, always be mindful to the still small voice of the Spirit and the revelation of the Father’s heart that when you have done it to the least of these, you have done it unto Jesus Himself.

I’ve spent a good few hours today working on the web site here, updating stuff and getting things a bit more organized.  In the 7 years we have been online ministering, this is by far the most complex and flexible web site we have ever had.  While thats a huge blessing, it’s also a huge undertaking to keep up with it and on it so we’re doing what we can.

Ultimately, we would like to hire a full time web person to handle not only this site but our my space accounts, facebook accounts, twitter accounts and online advertising outlets including email lists as well.  That of course comes down to having the money to create that position.

I spent some time this morning adding some new music to The Healing Wind and tweaking what was already in there a bit.  Finding new music to play on there is a bit of a challenge as you don’t just go to the local music store and buy from the “Prophetic Soaking” bin.

I believe we can be of some assistance to the very problem I am identifying here. In the coming weeks we will finally be starting work on the Healing Stream Store.  I’ll have more details as we get closer on that.

It was a wonderful 3 months with Barb here from Scotland. It would take a while to detail everything God is doing in her life, plus she has her own blog for that… lol  ..but point being it was a great visit for her and for us.

We’ve done two 24 hour fundraisers in the last week now and while we had a great time doing them and a lot of fun on our end, we did fall $1107 short of meeting the goals here financially.

The upside is that we are caught up with the bills for the ministry thru August now. The downside is that we still have nothing toward the Kingdom Rain conference coming up in just under a month.

For many years we have had a message board community up and running.  Long before there was a Network of stations here, in fact, long before a single station was here at all, we had Grace Boards (GB).  GBs is a wonderful thing but it can get lost pretty easily in the shadow of the other aspects of our ministry here.

I would like to invite you to join GBs. It’s free to join, you just need a valid email address. The board software will then send you an automatid email with a confirmation code for you to verify that email address.  Once you do that we try very hard to approve you for access to GBs within 12 to 24 hours and sometimes much sooner.

We have these verifications in place because GBs is a place dedicated to healing.  People really open up and bear the details of their hearts and lives so out of respect for those hearts we try to go an extra step or two to verify you are a real person and are not there to just spam, etc…

Once you are approved, you will find almost 200 like minded believers with almost 30,000 posts in over 30 different individual boards making up the collective Grace Board Community.

I want to remind everyone that all three of our stations are now back up and running thru iTunes. I know many of you enjoy iTunes for all three of our stations and now you can do that again!

I want to address the financial issues as a couple people have asked me about it now and seemed a bit confused.  Yes the ministry is part of a new home business that is helping it pay for itself but that home business is not a “get rich quick” thing. We are making hundreds a month now however, it takes over $1000 a month just to maintain the very fundamental basics here.

Also, names do not matter but of our suscribed monthly partners, 4 of them in august ether had their payments decline or cancelled their support with us entirely.  While people certainly are free to support or not support as they feel the Lord directing them, it does place an incredible financial strainon things.

In the backdrop of that we had a couple people send in one time financial gifts that enabled us to maintain for aother few days here but it is really down to a day by day deal on this end as to if we will be able to keep everything up and going like it is.

Otherwise, all we can do is ask people to pray about what God would have them do in this time and t yield to any instruction the Lord gives them.

In January of this year we launched our third station, The Healing Wind, and over the last 30 days it has set new records solidifying itself as the undisputed second most popular station we have just behind our flagship station, The Healing Stream.

Last month we had what we felt was a very good turn out for the Weekend of Fire conference here locally in Central, Ohio and we now look very forward to September 18, 19 & 20 for the upcoming Kingdom Rain conference.  It has been an incredible 2009 here at the ministry with one notable exception, that being our giving.

One option we could look into is starting to sell advertising on our radio stations. While this sounds good on the surface, remember that the average radio spot is 60 seconds long and the normal “flow” of music that you have come to expect from our stations would be interrupted up to three times an hour if we went this route.

Another option we have is to make our stations available only by paid subscription.  While this would help financially in the short term, the obvious draw back is the compromise of our mission to help facilitate the presence of God freely to the entire earth.

I’m also asking Him to touch 4 of you to sow a very special one time gift of $100 USD.

Well, its been a good week now since I updated last but a lot has happened, most of it good.

I am down to 329 pounds now. I started in March of 2008 at 491 pounds and have lost a total now of 162 pounds.  That brings me to 30 more pounds and I will be under 300 pounds for the first time in roughly 15 years.  Also, another 38 pounds of weight loss and i will have lost a total of 200 pounds!
