I believe a core blind spot in the body of Christ right now is one of provision, finances and to a larger degree, wealth in general. The Internet is full of notes and videos rebuking people for having or making money. Of course, they don’t directly say that, but that’s what the strong underlying message is. The devil has put out the lie to the body at large that to truly by holy before God, you had better be poor. People readily gobble up this lie like it’s candy and then try to use to to demonize people of means.

People who are always in a financial pinch seem to be aware that God wants to bless them but commonly miss that when God wants to bless you, He’s going to do it thru a person. A person wrote that check in your mailbox. A person paid for that car that “God gave you”. A person handed you the cash at church at the last minute. ..and when God wants to do a financial miracle in your life, guess what He’s going to use? If you said a person, you are correct.

Now, this presupposes that you believe God indeed does desire TO bless you in the first place. If you don’t believe that, then that is the first place the Spirit of God wants to go and bring some gentle correction.

Most who have ever believed God for a financial miracle and gotten one understand that God uses people in the equation. Here is the things… you cannot give what you don’t have! I cant buy your groceries at the store if I don’t have the extra money to do it with. I can’t buy you a new car, even if I feel I’m supposed to, unless I have the means to do so. I can’t give you one of my houses unless I have an extra one to give. Jesus said if someone asks for your hat, give him your coat too, but this assumes you have a coat in the first place. The body has missed this for the most part.

God wants you to have extra so you can then be a source of blessing to others.
Is it not hypocritical to ask God to bring a person your way to bless you if you yourself are not willing to be elevated into the place where God could use you to bless others? We must be delivered of the fear of wealth. We go around speaking of how God owns it all and then out of the other side of our mouths we come against preachers who say it’s ok to have extra.

I know, sometimes this attitude is hidden behind “wealth can’t be the primary focus” but who works a full week and doesn’t expect to get paid? Is it more holy to go to your employer and tell them to just keep their money this week? We really need to get our thinking straightened out about this and bring ourselves into alignment and agreement with God on this issue of Kingdom Finances.

Wealth, Provision and Wisdom go hand in hand in hand in the scripture. We have got to stop letting the devil have all the money. The illegal drug trade and the adult film industry alone make enough money to fund and increase almost every ministry in the earth today. When God wants to start to tip that balance back toward His Kingdom, guess how He’s going to do that… if you said with a person, you are correct.

The question becomes, are you willing to let Him elevate you into a place of wealth? Is it not true humilty to accept God’s best for our lives instead of being stubborn and insisting we remain in less than He wants us to have?

It’s a hard place to be in as many will judge you as evil just because you are not struggling to get by like they are. Others will secretly resent you for not making them your personal charity case. It will cost you friends in your life currently who relate to you because of your social class instead of around the unity of Jesus. And of course, it’s a very narrow road that requires you to walk VERY tightly with the Father because you will need loads of Wisdom to maintain, spend, save and invest for and toward the Kingdom of God. This will be a somewhat lonely road for most.

Its been said that if all the money in the world was collected and redistributed evenly to everyone to start with the same amount, within 3 to 5 years the same people that have it now would have it again. For God to increase your money, He will need to change your thinking about it. You have to stop believing that it’s more holy to have less. You have to stop believing God somehow authors lack. You have to stop believing that God wants to punish you by withhold from you.

In a revelation of God’s Love is also a Revelation of God’s Wealth, Provision and Wisdom. Don’t move in one without the other.

Very good Mark. Sometimes people just try to make a simple concept too spiritual or complicated. Yes, God is our provider in all things but, generally speaking it does not fall from the sky. The phrase “God provides in mysterious ways” sometimes applies to the simplest, mundane methods. This may be a job that is not necessarily one’s ultimate fulfillment and destiny, God’s direction about a business, school, or ministry that may take years to develop (in which case item one – the unfulfilling job may be the temporary provision), or simply humbling ones’ self and saying do I really NEED to (choose one or many) buy that, order that, keep subscribing to that, continue eating out, continue living like this, etc.etc.etc. Sometimes, we are just plain reluctant to admit that God’s provision is always there but it may be through the obvious but mundane seemingly “natural” solutions right in front of us!
