1) Respect yourself and others at all times. This means you should treat others like you would want to be treated. While we encourage you to open up about your feelings, a kind and gentle delivery should be used to do so.

2) A “PM” or “Personal Message” is when a person sends a private message to another user. A “blind PM” is when a user sends a PM with no advanced warning to another user. Please, no Blind PMs. Just ask permission in the normal chat area before you PM someone in the chat room. It is considered common courtesy to ask and give someone a choice to receive your PM to them. Coming in and PMing multiple people with no warning is an automatic bounce.

3) Because we are a “safe place” as chat rooms go, a good number of people like to come in and park their nic in our room and not say anything for hours at a time. While this is understandable, we do on occasion PM people to make sure they are still there and to make sure their nic didnt get stuck in the room by a Java glitch. The best bet is to say hello when you come in and tell everyone in the room you will be AFK (away from keyboard) for a while when that is applicable.

4) The nature of the chat room is such that anyone can come in under any name. If you would like to protect your user name with a private password, email  mark at thehealingstream.com and include your exact user name and password you would like. otherwise be smart about things. Our staff all have purple nics so do not share personal information with any non staff.

5) Our Chat Room is not there as a place to express your views of disagreement about this or any other ministry. Accusations, attempts to discredit or make this or other ministries look bad will get you bounced. The exception to this is if one of our staff asks you for more information as they minister to or with you.

6) Do not post links to sites outside of our ministry without permission from the staff.
